The sixth form combines the weightier practice of the lower school with an increased accent on independence and self determination. Students usually segregate four subjects at AS level (although suitably qualified candidates may elect to do more). We moreover offer some BTEC level three courses. Our sixth form prospectus details the updated undertow choices. Students who wield for a place at our sixth form are interviewed to trammels that their undertow nomination complements their ambitions and qualifications to date; and that they have displayed the necessary nature that will enable them to succeed in the sixth form. Offers made are provisionary on viewing performance and a good record of attendance, punctuality and behaviour. We aim to provide unparalleled support, advice, monitoring and guidance to ensure that each student develops as a confident and self-sustaining learner. During the time that students are a member of the HeartlandsSeminarsixth form we expect them to wilt a role model for the younger years at the seminar in terms of behaviour and attitude. We moreover expect them to take an zippy role in the life of the academy; making the most of the opportunities they will be offered. We target individual student's aspirations from the first day they join our sixth form and provide extra-curricular opportunities to facilitate those aspirations. We endeavour to provide specific work experience, UCAS guidance, trips and residentials to ensure that our students are comprehensively equipped to realise their ambitions.
